Product choice and prices can vary by location and may differ from what's on Target.com. • You can ask at Guest Services with a price shown on your phone, but screenshots aren't accepted, or request it online at checkout or by chat.
• No rain checks for out-of-stock items.

Target Circle: free to join, with a card option

Target Circle is the free membership. Members get extra discounts, can earn and redeem rewards, get access to exclusive events and receive a birthday gift every year. If you carry the Target Circle Card, you get an extra 5% off, subject to restrictions, plus free shipping. Wikipedia notes that the card used to be called the RedCard and became the Circle Card in April 2024. There is also a paid tier, Target Circle 360, which adds same-day delivery and monthly freebies. We could not see its price on the page we read, so check there before signing up.

Returns are where Target spells things out clearly. Most unopened items in new condition get 90 days. Target's own brands carry a one-year window with a receipt. Electronics and entertainment (without Apple or Beats) get 30 days, while Apple products and phones get 14. Circle Card holders and Circle 360 members get 30 extra days on almost everything, though not on owned brands. Opened beauty products have 90 days, or 120 with the card.

No receipt? Target says a return barcode, a receipt or the card used for the purchase can count as proof. If you have none, you may be offered a merchandise return card and asked for government ID. Some things are final sale, including trading cards, personalized items and gift cards, and a few departments such as Pharmacy and Starbucks are store-only returns.
