Pharmaprix Flyer This Week

Pharmaprix is the Quebec face of Shoppers Drug Mart

If you grew up in Quebec you probably say "Pharmaprix" without a second thought, and if you moved from Ontario you may wonder why the sign looks so familiar. Wikipedia explains it: the chain Canadians outside Quebec know as Shoppers Drug Mart trades as Pharmaprix in Quebec, a brand that founder Murray Koffler launched with the Steinberg grocery group in 1972 before buying out Steinberg's stake in 1979. The company has been owned by Loblaw Companies since 2014 and counts more than 1,300 stores across the country. That is why a Pharmaprix flyer and a Shoppers flyer often look alike. You can compare them on our Pharmaprix flyer this week and Shoppers weekly flyer pages.

Reading the Pharmaprix circulaire: dates and page counts

Here is what we hold as of 22 October 2026. The weekly circulaire is dated from Saturday 17 October and lists 20 pages; our listing shows it running to 22 October. A second booklet, a five-page toy guide, covers 2 to 30 October. Because the weekly edition begins on a Saturday, editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Saturday, which is unusual compared with the Thursday or Friday starts of many chains. The company has not told us otherwise, and we found no official statement of an in-store release hour.

Searches such as "pharmaprix flyer montreal", "pharmaprix flyer laval" and "pharmaprix flyer next week" show how local this is: shoppers want their own region's version. Pages can be bilingual, which is why the word circulaire appears next to flyer on the scans.

PC Optimum: the points programme behind the specials

Rewards matter more at a drugstore than at most shops. The Pharmaprix beauty site describes PC Optimum as the programme tied to its stores and online shop, and the search snippet we saw quotes 15 points on almost every dollar spent, with points usable on fragrance, cosmetics and skin care. Wikipedia adds the history: the older Shoppers Optimum scheme launched in 2000 and was folded into Loblaw's PC Optimum in 2018.

A few practical points about how it works, from a rewards-travel blog that covers the Pharmaprix events:

• Outside promotions, 10,000 points are worth ten dollars in rewards.
• Bonus redemption events sometimes let you exchange points in fixed tiers for a better rate, in 10,000-point blocks; they have start and end dates, so check before saving up.
• Your purchase must be at least the discount amount, taxes are calculated before points are applied, and prescription drugs, tobacco, stamps and transit tickets are excluded from these events.

There is also a free Pharmaprix app from Loblaw, in English and French. Its App Store page lists online shopping and delivery, in-store stock checks, PC Optimum points and offers, a virtual makeup try-on and one login shared with Shoppers and Loblaws sites.

Hours, Sundays and holidays in Quebec

People constantly search "pharmaprix hours", "is pharmaprix open on Canada Day" and "pharmaprix 24 hours". We cannot give a single answer because hours are set store by store, and the official store pages were blocked to us. What we can say is that Quebec has its own framework. The Act respecting hours and days of admission to commercial establishments has special provisions for stores that sell pharmaceutical, hygienic or sanitary products. A provincial regulation we saw gives, for such stores on 1 July, a window of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. when 1 July falls on a weekend and 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. otherwise. These regulations date from 2008, so use them as background only and confirm the current text or ask the pharmacy counter.

The same caution applies to returns and price matching. A search for an official Pharmaprix return policy turned up nothing usable, and we found no price-match policy, so ask at the till before buying something you may bring back.

What else Pharmaprix sells and where to compare

Besides prescriptions, the chain is a beauty retailer; its app advertises more than 400 beauty brands and 20,000 products. Wikipedia notes that Shoppers has its own Life brand, and that President's Choice and No Name items appeared on its shelves after the Loblaw purchase. We have it filed under health and beauty retailers in Canada.

Montreal shoppers frequently compare drugstore flyers. Two close neighbours on this site are the Jean Coutu flyer this week and the Uniprix weekly flyer. For everything else, start at the Canada flyers hub.
