Rona Flyer This Week

Rona flyer this week and the year-long buying guide

Two Rona publications are live on AdsSOS today. The weekly flyer is valid from Thursday 15 October 2026 and its listing shows it running until 28 October, which makes it a two-week window of 25 pages rather than the usual single week. The second is a Buying Guide 2026, a 48-page booklet valid from 26 February 2026 to 24 February 2027, closer to a catalogue you keep in the workshop than a flyer you toss. Our data does not give a regular edition day, and we found no official statement about release timing. The scans are on our Rona flyer this week page, and shoppers in Quebec will recognise the word circulaire on some of the pages.

From a Montreal buying group to Rona today

Home renovation is a project, so who stands behind the store matters. According to Wikipedia, Rona began in 1939 as Les Marchands en Quincaillerie, an alliance of independent hardware retailers around Montreal that pooled their buying power. It was renamed Ro-Na in 1960 and became a dealer co-operative in 1962, and over the following decades it merged with Dismat, bought Cashway and Réno-Dépôt and grew into a national name headquartered in Boucherville, Quebec.

The ownership story has twists. Lowe's bought Rona for C$3.2 billion, closing in May 2016, and later converted some stores to the Lowe's banner. Lowe's announced in November 2022 that it would sell its Canadian operations to Sycamore Partners, and the sale closed on 3 February 2023, so Rona is now owned by that U.S. private equity firm. The same article puts the network at about 425 locations including company-owned and franchised stores, under names such as Rona, Rona+ and Rona Cashway. By October 2024, it says, the company was making Rona its only retail brand in Canada. That is why an old Lowe's or Réno-Dépôt address can now carry a Rona sign.

Does Rona price match? What the sources say, and don't

"Rona price match" and "rona price match policy" crowd the suggestion box. We could not open the retailer's own pages, and the third-party summaries disagree. One rewards-travel site says Rona has a best price guarantee that matches an identical item posted at a lower price by a local retailer. A coupon site gives a radius and requires proof of the competitor's current ad, while a money-saving blog describes a "beat by ten per cent" offer tied to flyer products during the flyer's validity. Because the details differ and may be out of date, we will not quote one rule. Bring the competitor's ad, ask in the aisle before paying, and get any adjustment confirmed on the receipt.

Returns are in the same position. A coupon site mentions a 90-day window for most items with different rules for appliances, but we could not confirm it officially. Ask for the written policy for special orders, paint and lumber in particular.

Savings options: points, cards and the contractor program

Wikipedia says Rona joined the Air Miles programme in 2004 and that customers can earn Air Miles there; that page may lag behind current practice, so confirm at the till or in the app before relying on it. A rewards guide notes that a Rona purchase made with certain bank cards can earn the card's own points, and that a contractor-oriented PRO program offers members discounts on paint and other categories. It also mentions seasonal liquidations listed under "Promotions and Flyers" on the website and installation services, from a toilet to a roof, which you can request online or by phone. We have not verified those offers ourselves.

Hours, Sundays and holiday closures

Search lists include "rona hours sunday", "is rona open on civic holiday" and "is rona open on victoria day". Hours are set by region and by store type, so check the store locator rather than a remembered schedule. In Ontario, the provincial page on retail business holidays names seven days when many retailers must close, including Good Friday, Canada Day, Labour Day and Thanksgiving, with exemptions for the City of Toronto, municipalities that pass by-laws, tourist areas and some business types such as garden centres and nurseries. Quebec has its own hours law, and the Western provinces differ again. We did not confirm any chain-wide rule.

Rona sits in our home and garden retailers group. For comparison before a big project, check the Home Depot flyer this week, the Home Hardware weekly flyer or the BMR flyer this week, and use the Canada flyers hub for everything else.
