12 days leftAnyone who shops for groceries in Kuwait quickly learns that the neighbourhood co-operative society, the jam'iya, is the default. A report from the co-operative press says the country has over 60 consumer co-operatives and that they together hold a large share of the grocery market. The hypermarket chains on this page are the private alternative: bigger floor plates, a mix of food and household goods, and weekly offers that are published as a flyer or a promotions page rather than announced at a members' meeting. Treat them as a second option that you compare with your local society, not as a replacement for it.
The Kuwait Offers pages we keep for each chain are scans of what the retailer itself publishes. We do not list product pages or prices, so everything below is about how to read the catalogues, not about what any item costs. For the bigger picture, start from the Kuwait offers overview.
This hub mixes formats, and it is better to say so plainly. Four of the seven are classed as hypermarkets in our research: Lulu hypermarket offers, Grand Hypermarket offers, Mango Hyper offers and Nesto offers. The other three are classed as supermarket groups that also trade in larger formats: City Centre offers, Mark & Save offers and The Sultan Center offers.
Lulu opened its fifteenth Kuwait hypermarket in Hawally on 1 October 2023, a store of about 83,000 square feet, and it also runs smaller Daily Fresh outlets. Grand Hypermarket belongs to the Regency Group and came to Kuwait in 2010 with a first store in Fahaheel. Mango Hyper started in 2003 under the Mango Group of Companies and its own site gives ten branches in Kuwait. Nesto is headquartered in Sharjah, in the United Arab Emirates, and is part of the Western International Group; Mark & Save sits under the same owner.
Some searches still use old names. City Centre told the Kuwait Times in February 2024 that it was becoming City Hypermarket, with twelve stores that had all been renovated. People nevertheless keep typing the earlier name, so our page keeps it too. The Sultan Center is a different animal again: Wikipedia credits it with more than forty stores in Kuwait, and it runs the Kanzee programme with cashback and tiers according to its app listing. It is classed as a supermarket group, which is why this hub flags it as a mixed format.
The most direct example we read is the Mango Hyper site, whose Offers section on 22 October 2026 showed an eight-page promotion for 21 to 27 October, viewable online or as a PDF. The Grand Hypermarket site has a Flyer link and a promotions area in its navigation, though the page we opened did not show flyer content directly. Each catalogue carries its own printed dates, so read them before you plan a trip.
A sensible habit is to open the catalogue of your nearest branch first and then one rival, rather than scrolling through all seven.
Loyalty is a place where we choose caution. Mango Hyper offers a digital loyalty card with a Kuwait mobile number and a one-time password, but the page does not publish the benefits. Nesto's Kuwait app has a MyNesto login that shows points and reward eligibility, without earning rates in the store listing. Mark & Save names WeRewards on its official site, and we did not find Kuwait terms. The Sultan Center's Kanzee is the only one in this group where the programme structure is described. If a benefit is not written down by the retailer, do not count on it when you compare flyers.
Kuwait's consumer protection law, Law 39 of 2014, lets a buyer exchange or return a defective product within fourteen days, provided the merchant issued an invoice; perishables are excluded and, according to the Kuwait Times, vendors and suppliers are jointly liable. Disputes go to the National Committee for Consumer Protection. Grand Hypermarket publishes its own policy of seven calendar days for unused items in original packaging with proof of purchase, which is a different, retailer-level rule. For Nesto we found no Kuwait-specific policy, so the statutory rule is the one to cite. Keep the receipt.
The real searches are very repetitive. People type a chain name with Kuwait and the word offers, sometimes with today, sometimes with a town such as Fahaheel or Al Rai. Next come opening times, and in particular whether a branch is open round the clock; City Centre's Aswaq Al Qurain branch was reported open twenty-four hours in February 2026, and a search for Lulu twenty-four hours is common. We did not find an official source for Ramadan retail hours, so check your branch directly in that month. Finally there are online-ordering questions, for which Grand Hypermarket advertises a sixty-minute delivery promise on its official site.
If you also buy appliances and phones during the same trip, our Kuwait electronics offers hub compares the specialist stores.
