The company's history page names its loyalty system Iktissab, launched in 2004.

Abdullah AlOthaim Markets is one of the largest grocery operators in the Kingdom, and its leaflets on AdsSOS follow a different rhythm from the weekly sheets of many rivals. The editions we hold are mostly short, themed or day-specific issues, including recurring Monday Offers leaflets, alongside occasional seven-day issues. Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Monday. The five most recent were:
We found no official statement from the company about a fixed release day or hour, so the Monday pattern comes only from our own edition dates. The Saudi Arabia offers this week page shows which other chains have a current edition.
On AdsSOS the leaflet pages for Abdullah AlOthaim Markets are shown as images of the published editions, with the validity dates in each title, and recent past editions stay listed so you can see how often the chain refreshes its offers. We list leaflets only and hold no product pages or prices.
The company's own history page names its loyalty system as Iktissab, launched in 2004 and described there as one of the largest loyalty systems in Saudi Arabia. A 2017 Arab News report said shoppers could register free of charge through the website or app and that the programme carried weekly deals and discounts; that report is dated, so confirm current terms with the chain. A separate Othaim app listed on Apple's App Store is described as a points-based programme for brands of the Abdullah Alothaim Investment Company, which may be a different scheme from Iktissab, so check which card applies at your branch.
We could not find a published price-matching policy or an official returns page for Othaim Markets in the pages we opened, so none is described here. The general Saudi rules still apply.
Saudi consumer rules apply at Abdullah AlOthaim Markets as at any shop in the Kingdom. The Ministry of Commerce states that a buyer who receives a defective, adulterated or counterfeit item has the right to return it and claim back what was paid, and complaints can be lodged through the ministry's 1900 toll-free line, its website or its social media accounts. A ministry decision, reported by Gulf News, also bars shops from displaying notices saying that goods once sold cannot be taken back or exchanged. The report is undated in the version we saw, so check the current wording with the ministry if a dispute arises.
We did not find official Othaim opening hours or clearance habits. Othaim operates cash-and-carry outlets, hypermarkets, supermarkets, wholesale and Othaim City formats, so a large store and a neighbourhood branch may keep different timetables.
On prayer times, the Federation of Saudi Chambers issued a circular on 16 July 2021 telling stores they could stay open during the daily prayers, where previously businesses had to close for at least half an hour for each one. Individual branches still set their own timetables, so confirm with the branch you plan to visit, especially in Ramadan when many stores change their hours.
According to the company's history page, Abdullah Al Othaim Markets was established in 1980 and traces its roots to a first Riyadh store opened in 1956. It built central warehouses in 1992, listed on the Saudi stock exchange (Tadawul) in 2008, opened its first store in Egypt in 2016 and reached 400 branches in Saudi Arabia in 2024. Wikipedia records 476 stores at the end of December 2025, of which 415 were in Saudi Arabia and 61 in Egypt, with headquarters in Riyadh.
