ExpiredAl Raya trades in all three cities according to the flyer listing we opened, which names Jeddah, Makkah and Taif among its branch cities. Our edition titles carry no city tag, so confirm at your branch.
We could not open a current branch timetable. A trade profile says the chain launched in 1991 with 24-hour service in Jeddah, but that is history, not a schedule. Call your branch.
Tamimi Markets announced the completion of its purchase of 100 percent of Al Raya in February 2024, per the press coverage.
We found no official Al Raya app or loyalty card in the pages we could open, so we cannot confirm one.
Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Wednesday and the main booklet runs about a week. No official release day was found. The Friday editions are valid for that day only.
The 2024 acquisition announcement gives 51 supermarkets in more than 20 cities. A flyer site lists 52 branches. Counts vary by source and date.
The newest Al Raya booklet in our archive is titled Special Offers and ran from 14 to 20 October 2026 over 20 pages. It followed a Big Sale edition valid from 7 to 13 October, also 20 pages, and a Super Sale, Vol 2 that covered 30 September to 6 October in 10 pages. Between those sit the Friday editions: two eight-page Al Raya Friday Offers booklets dated 2 and 9 October, each valid for that single day, plus a one-page Vol 4 supplement for 2 October.
Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Wednesday, which suits the seven-day booklets, but we found no official statement from the chain about a fixed release day, so treat that as a pattern in our data and nothing firmer. The Friday issues are the ones to watch, because a booklet that is valid for one day is stale by Saturday. Shoppers comparing several chains can start from our Saudi Arabia weekly offers this week overview.
People searching for this chain tend to add a city: the suggestions we saw include Al Raya offers for Yanbu, Makkah, Abha, Taif and Jeddah, and one for the Bawadi district of Jeddah. That matches the footprint. A third-party flyer page lists 52 branches for the chain and names cities such as Abha, Al Bahah, Taif, Jeddah, Jazan, Khamis Mushait, Medina, Makkah, Najran, Tabuk and Yanbu. The company announcement on its sale describes 51 supermarkets in more than 20 cities across the north-west, west and south-west of the Kingdom, so the two counts differ slightly by source and date.
The edition titles we hold carry no city tag, unlike some other chains. If you live far from Jeddah, it is sensible to confirm in store or by phone that a booklet applies to your branch before driving over for one item.
A retail-trade profile says the first branch opened in 1991 on Prince Majed Street in Jeddah, and that it was the first supermarket in the city to combine high-quality fresh produce, a bakery in every store and round-the-clock service. The same profile says the stores now stretch from Jizan in the south to Tabuk in the north and quotes figures of more than 50 stores, over 35,000 items and over 100,000 customers a day. Those are company-supplied numbers, so read them as the chain describing itself.
On ownership, Tamimi Markets announced in February 2024 that it had completed the purchase of 100 percent of Al Raya. The seller was Levant Capital, an investor that took a 75 percent stake in 2012, according to the press coverage we opened. The deal report adds that Tamimi would hold 111 stores after the acquisition and that its chief executive singled out the Al Raya bakery for praise. If you already know the Tamimi banner from the Eastern Province, this is the same group, though the two brands continue to be listed separately in the flyers we collect.
The most recent booklet lists everyday grocery and household lines: fresh produce, meat and poultry, dairy, beverages, detergents and personal care. The chain describes a hot-bread focus and says it buys as much fruit and vegetables as it can from farms near its stores, citing a desert-agriculture project with a Saudi research university. We have no private-label list for the chain, and we do not guess one.
For a quick weekly shop, the practical reading is simple. Use the main booklet for pantry items and the Friday editions for short-lived fresh offers, then check shelf labels at the branch, because the leaflet is a scan and we hold no price data.
Searches such as Al Raya opening hours and Al Raya opening time are common, yet we could not open a current branch timetable. What we can say is that the chain was set up with 24-hour service in Jeddah in 1991, per the trade profile, which tells you nothing about each branch today. Call your branch.
On prayer closures, a July 2021 report said the Federation of Saudi Chambers circulated a note allowing shops to stay open during the daily prayers, which had earlier required a break of at least half an hour. A June 2021 report described a Shura Council proposal to keep closure only for Friday congregational prayer and did not state the vote result. Together they suggest Friday midday is the time to expect a pause, but check locally.
Our searches did not surface a published Al Raya loyalty card or shopping app, and the ownership change may have altered any scheme, so we make no claim either way. We also found no official page with a return or price-match policy. For goods that arrive faulty or mislabelled, your branch manager is the first stop.
Al Raya is a supermarket chain, and the closest hub on this site is the Saudi Arabia hypermarkets offers hub. To compare, open the Hyper Panda weekly offers, the Lulu hypermarket offers this week or the Abdullah AlOthaim Markets leaflet pages.
