ExpiredDiscount Retail Consulting reported that the first two Saudi stores opened on 18 January 2026 in Riyadh, in Mounsiyah and on King Fahad Road.
Viva is part of Landmark Group, according to Discount Retail Consulting and a JBR directory entry.
It is positioned as a food discounter, a format aimed at price-conscious shoppers, according to Gulf News. We hold no price data, so compare shelf prices yourself.
We found no verified Riyadh timetable. The only schedule we saw belongs to a UAE branch, so call the store first.
We found no official confirmation of either in Saudi Arabia, so we do not claim them.
Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Wednesday and run for two weeks over 24 pages. Viva has not published an official release day that we found.
Viva is the newest name in this corner of the Saudi grocery market, and its leaflets reflect a brand that is still settling in. The editions we hold are all long: each has 24 pages and runs for two weeks. Back to School Savings covered 19 August to 1 September 2026, Back to School Big Savings 2 to 15 September, Saudi National Day Offers 16 to 29 September, and Big Save Days Offers 30 September to 13 October. All four began on a Wednesday, so editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Wednesday. That is our own archive pattern; Viva has not announced a release day or hour that we could find.
Searches such as Viva Supermarket Riyadh offers today show that shoppers are looking for exactly this booklet. For the wider kingdom see the Saudi Arabia offers this week hub, and for the grocery group as a whole the hypermarkets and supermarkets in Saudi Arabia page.
Discount Retail Consulting reported that Viva opened its first two Saudi stores on 18 January 2026, in Mounsiyah and on King Fahad Road in Riyadh, making the kingdom its third Gulf market after the United Arab Emirates and Oman. The same report says Viva hopes to anchor the Oro Square development in Al Saedan, without saying that either opening is there. A Landmark announcement from November 2024 had pencilled in a Saudi launch for 2025 as part of a plan to open 400 stores across the GCC, India and South-East Asia over three years, so the first stores arrived roughly a year later. We found no later store count, so we quote none.
Suggest data also shows queries for a Jeddah branch and for an area called Khurais. We cannot verify either, and nothing we opened lists a Viva in Jeddah. Check the brand's own channels before you travel.
Gulf News described the 2018 UAE launch as a food discounter, a format that sells only food, fresh and packaged, and that targets price-conscious shoppers rather than copying a conventional hypermarket. It cited about 1,200 items from around the world at launch, and the format was compared with the discounters of Europe. A JBR directory entry says Viva has operated on the discount model since 2018, now has more than 100 stores across the UAE, Oman and Saudi Arabia, and sells products under exclusive Viva brands chosen by buyers, plus a range of non-food goods. The same entry belongs to a UAE branch, so its details need not match a Riyadh store.
Viva belongs to Landmark Group, which Gulf News listed as already running Home Centre, Splash, Emax and Centrepoint at the time. The launch promise reported in January was fresher, cheaper, better, which is a marketing line rather than a guarantee.
Opening hours and timings are a popular query, but we found no verified timetable for the Riyadh stores. The one schedule we saw, on the JBR directory, belongs to a UAE branch and uses a different weekend, so it should not be applied here. Saudi weekends fall on Friday and Saturday, and prayer times and Ramadan often change closing hours, so call the branch or check a map listing first.
Related searches include Viva Supermarket loyalty program and a delivery app, and the UAE brand does have delivery queries of its own. We found no official page confirming a loyalty scheme, an app or home delivery in Saudi Arabia, so we claim none. If you see an online order service advertised, confirm that it covers your district and that it is the real Viva channel.
No Saudi return or price-matching policy was visible to us. Keep the till receipt, check dates on fresh and chilled items, and ask for a refund or replacement at the customer desk while still in the shop. Because AdsSOS holds no price data, treat booklet figures as claims to verify at the shelf.
Shoppers who want to see how a discounter booklet differs from a hypermarket one can open Hyper Panda offers this week, Lulu offers this week or Abdullah AlOthaim Markets offers. Use the booklet as a shortlist and compare ranges before you decide where to shop.
