CTM Catalogue This Week: publication rhythm and schedule

CTM is not a supermarket, although AdsSOS lists it under that category for now. The retailer's website calls it the largest specialist tile and bathroom retailer in South Africa, and it sells tiles, sanitaryware, taps and related home-finishing products. The CTM editions we hold run on a fortnightly rhythm. CTM Specials, CTM Specials New Season and CTM Specials Fresh Style all ran from 12 to 25 October 2026, a two-week window, with 8, 5 and 4 pages respectively. Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Monday, so a fresh CTM Catalogue this week is most likely to appear at the start of a week.

The official site shows promotional banners, including a price drop on selected tiles and a range called Big Big Savers, but it states no catalogue publication day and no sale dates that we could read. The validity printed on each edition is the date to trust.

How to save: loyalty card and app

We found no loyalty card, rewards scheme or shopping app on the CTM homepage. The site does offer a wishlist feature called My List and an account login, but neither is a rewards programme. As the site content we read did not set out a full list of programmes, we do not claim that none exists.

The homepage advertises easy credit options, installation with a 12-month workmanship guarantee, and services for builders and contractors. Online orders ship nationwide, and the delivery page says the price is calculated at checkout from the delivery address and the weight of the order. Goods are insured in transit, and CTM aims for next-day delivery in major metros, a promise the page marks with an asterisk without explaining the condition. If a product is not available in your region, the delivery page says an alternative will be offered.

Price matching, returns and coupon rules

We found no CTM price-matching policy, and no returns or refund page was reachable from the homepage or the delivery page.

South African consumer law applies regardless. A consumer-law article on FA News explains that section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act lets a buyer return defective goods within six months of delivery, without penalty, and choose repair, replacement or refund, and that shop notices refusing returns do not override this. Tiles are often cut or special-ordered, and the law does not by itself oblige a shop to accept a change-of-mind return, so ask about the rules before you order and keep proof of purchase.

Smart shopping: hours and markdown habits

CTM's homepage does not list opening hours, and its store tool did not display addresses in the content we could read. The stores are run by individual owners according to the site, so hours can vary; confirm with your branch before travelling. A consumer guide to public holidays says major grocery chains and pharmacies generally trade reduced hours except on Christmas Day, but it does not cover tile retailers, so holiday opening here is unconfirmed.

We found no official statement about clearance routines. Because tile is bought by area and batch, it helps to measure first and compare the three CTM editions on offer, which differ in page count and range. Renovators can also browse the House and Home catalogue.

About CTM in South Africa

The CTM website says the business was launched in 1983 and opened its online store in 2012. It gives two store counts, 94 stores in Southern and East Africa on one line and more than 80 stores in South Africa and across Africa on another, so we do not rely on a single figure. The Italtile group describes CTM as one of its retail brands, with 99 showrooms in Southern and East Africa, and says CTM serves middle-income DIY customers and small contractors.

The site lists own brands including Tivoli Taps, Kilimanjaro, Organic Earth tiles and Elf laminates, and says CTM works directly with factories. Our feed points to www.ctm.co.za, which is indeed this South African retailer. Compare other chains in the South Africa supermarkets category, the Checkers specials catalogue or on the South Africa catalogues hub.
