Right now AdsSOS lists three editions, and they overlap. The Birthday Sale runs from 15 to 25 October 2026 and is 86 pages long, which is huge for a supermarket. The Specials catalogue runs from 12 October to 1 November 2026 over 27 pages. An It's Party Time edition covers 7 September to 30 October 2026 across 17 pages. Editions of this store usually start on a Monday, but as you can see the validity windows differ, so read the end date on each cover. The retailer's own homepage also carries a specials panel for 15 to 25 October 2026.

Where the stores are, and when they open

The official store finder lists five trading points, read on 22 October 2026. Saturday and Sunday hours are the ones people search for ("save hyper trading hours sunday"), so here they are:

• Save Hyper, 362 Victoria Road, Pietermaritzburg: 7am to 7pm, weekdays and weekends.
• Howick, 8 Harvard Street: weekdays 8am to 6pm, Saturday 8am to 4pm, Sunday and public holidays 9am to 3pm.
• Church Street, 441 Church Street, Pietermaritzburg: weekdays 8am to 6pm, Saturday 8am to 5pm, Sunday 9am to 4pm.

The Save loyalty card and its CashBacks

Save runs a loyalty scheme with Infinity Rewards. The terms published on the official site say you earn CashBacks on selected items, calculated at 0.25 per cent of the eligible purchase price, and that promotional competitions can add more. That is a modest rate, so think of it as a small bonus rather than a reason to change where you shop.

The rules that matter: you can spend CashBacks on any goods, in full or in part, and top up the rest in cash. They cannot be swapped for cash or credit, and they cannot be passed to someone else. If a refund is issued on an item you paid for with CashBacks, they go back to your account. Unspent CashBacks are lost when they expire, although the terms do not say how long that takes. To check your balance, ask at the till, use the Infinity Rewards website, or SMS "balance" with your card number to 41534, which costs R2 a message. Save may change the terms without notice.

What else is inside a Save store

The official site says the group began in 1987 as Save Cash and Carry on Victoria Road, founded by Moosa Noorgat, and grew into one of the bigger cash-and-carry operations in the Natal Midlands. From 2009 it added smaller supermarkets. Today the group describes one hypermarket and five supermarkets. The website lists a bakery, deli, butchery, fresh produce and a fish market, plus a house brand, and it also promotes small and large appliances with delivery, TVs, laptops and tablets, and clothing and shoes. It has a WhatsApp ordering link and a gift-card page.

That mix is why shoppers type "save hyper pietermaritzburg tv specials" next to grocery searches. Treat each category as its own mini-catalogue when you flip through the 86 pages.

Returns: no policy page, so lean on the CPA

We did not find a written returns or price-match policy on the pages we opened. The Consumer Protection Act applies regardless. FA News explains that goods which turn out to be defective can be returned within six months of delivery, with a choice of repair, replacement or refund, and that notices refusing returns cannot override that. This is one attorney's 2017 reading. If a shop will not help, the National Consumer Commission takes complaints.
