277 days leftLet us be plain about this page: the retailers grouped under Auto, Sports and Leisure have little in common except that people go to them for something specific. One is an office supplier, one sells hunting and fishing gear, one sells car parts, one sells pet food and one is about fabric. Add a craft chain and you have the full set. Each publishes a flyer, but the reasons to open it are quite different.
Staples Canada is headquartered in Richmond Hill, Ontario, and Wikipedia counts about 296 locations. In Quebec the banner is Bureau en Gros, which matters if you search in French. The queries tied to Staples are seasonal ones: Black Friday, Boxing Week, and Sunday hours. That pattern is typical of an office chain. The big flyers arrive around back-to-school and the end-of-year sales, and shoppers check ahead. The site advertises next-day shipping on all orders, so some shoppers skip the store entirely.
Cabela's Canada is a Bass Pro Shops subsidiary since September 2017. It has a small footprint here, with 10 stores as of January 2024 per Wikipedia, and when we checked, cabelas.ca redirected to basspro.ca. So a search for a Cabela's flyer may land on Bass Pro pages. Returns run 60 days with proof of purchase, for Canadian purchases only, and photo ID is needed.
NAPA Auto Parts is a division of Genuine Parts Company and reaches Canada through UAP, according to Wikipedia. Its flyer comes out in monthly or seasonal editions rather than weekly, so do not expect a Thursday refresh. NAPA Canada's returns page gives 30 days from purchase or delivery, free, with a 0% restocking fee, for parts in original packaging and condition; installed or damaged parts do not qualify. Used cores follow separate terms: its terms page says they can be returned at any time to the original store, in the new part's box, with the receipt. Searches about NAPA core returns show buyers want to know this before they buy.
Petsmart Canada has the most developed programmes in the group. Its Price Match Promise covers identical in-stock items sold by direct-seller competitors, in store and on their official sites, with proof of the lower price. It excludes marketplaces such as Amazon Marketplace, price aggregators, clearance and special-event prices, buy-one-get-one offers, rebates, pets and services. Returns run 60 days with proof of purchase. Treats Rewards is free and gives 10 points per dollar, with 1,000 points worth $2.
Fabricland stores run on a different rhythm. It accepts returns for 7 days with receipt and packaging, but cut goods and patterns cannot be returned and online orders are final sale. Sunday hours vary by store; the Ottawa Walkley location, for instance, opens 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays. Member promotions are tied to Sewciety, though we could not read the terms.
Michaels Canada is the biggest craft chain here, with 138 stores reported in April 2026. Its Michaels Rewards programme was reported on in April 2026, with tiers rising at higher spend. Returns run 60 days for new and unused items, per the Canadian return page seen in search results. The owner is The Michaels Companies of Irving, Texas, which Apollo agreed to acquire in 2021.
Real queries reveal the intent. Michaels shoppers type "michaels flyer next week canada", planning a project around coupons and sale pages. Fabricland and Petsmart searches add "weekly" and "this week". For Cabela's the big seasonal ask is a Black Friday flyer. Staples draws the same Black Friday and Boxing Week searches. The general question "when do canadian flyers come out" shows people want a predictable day, but we found no official schedule for the specialty shops here, and NAPA runs on a longer cycle.
Demand follows the calendar. Fabric and craft stores rise before holidays, hunting and fishing gear before the season opens, and car parts before winter tires and summer road trips. Quebec lists Easter Sunday among its statutory holidays while Ontario lists Good Friday, according to one retail-HR guide, so long-weekend hours differ by province. Sunday hours differ by store too, as the Fabricland example shows. Check your branch before a long weekend.
On pricing, the Competition Bureau says drip pricing, where mandatory fees make the advertised price unattainable, raises concerns under the Competition Act unless the charges are government-imposed, such as sales tax. In Quebec the Office de la protection du consommateur adds that you can insist on paying the advertised price, and Educaloi notes catalogues and brochures there must be in French.
