Two trade reports from April 2026 (Retail Insider, dated April 15, and DMN, dated April 13) describe the upgraded Michaels Rewards programme for Canada. It pays a percentage back in rewards rather than a points tally:

• Red: 3 per cent in rewards from the day you join.
• Gold: 6 per cent once you pass $300 in annual spend.
• Platinum: 9 per cent once you pass $1,000 in annual spend.

Birthday discounts are 15, 20 and 25 per cent for Red, Gold and Platinum. Gold and Platinum members also get "Everyday Perks", a coupon on one regular-priced item that can be used daily: 35 per cent for Gold, 40 per cent for Platinum. Platinum adds early access to some new products and events plus a free tote bag. You can sign up with a team member in store or at michaels.ca/rewards. Neither report mentions a mobile app or says how rewards expire, so we will not guess. Searches like "michaels app" are mostly noise anyway: Google Suggest drifted to job applications and unrelated businesses.

Michaels flyer Canada: a short four-day window

Here is something that surprises people used to grocery flyers. The edition we hold on AdsSOS for Michaels runs only from Monday, October 19 to Thursday, October 22, 2026, and has six pages. This is a heavily searched question, often followed by names of rivals and by "price match amazon" or "cricut". We found no official Michaels Canada price-match or price-adjustment policy, so we make no claim either way. Spring Financial's roundup of Canadian price-match rules lists Michaels among non-grocery stores that offer price adjustments on regular purchases rather than matching, but it gives no window for Michaels, so treat that as unconfirmed and ask at the till.

Wikipedia says Michael J. Dupey founded the company in Dallas in 1973, and that it is headquartered in Irving, Texas. The page describes it as North America's largest provider of arts, crafts, framing, floral and wall décor, with private labels including Recollections, Studio Decor, Creatology, Artist's Loft and Craft Smart. Apollo Global Management agreed to acquire The Michaels Companies in 2021. Retail Insider counts 138 Canadian stores, one or more in each of the ten provinces, out of over 1,300 across the US and Canada.
