Canadian Tire weekly flyer: big books, long guides, a Halloween edition

Canadian Tire does sell tires, but a flyer from this chain is closer to a seasonal department store in print: auto parts, tools, patio, hockey gear, kitchenware, pet food and, right now, Halloween. Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Thursday. The newest weekly flyer is a 31-page Halloween edition valid from 22 to 28 October 2026, while the weekly edition before it ran for 14 pages from 15 to 21 October. In between sits a 17-page Ultimate Home Guide that started on 15 October and stays valid until 4 November. That guide overlaps two weekly editions, so keep an eye on the dates printed on each cover.

The suggestions for this retailer show how people use the flyer: "canadian tire flyer this week", "canadian tire weekly flyer preview" and "canadian tire flyer next week", plus city versions for Calgary, Winnipeg, Edmonton, Ottawa and Toronto. The company's flyer page is called the Weekly Online Flyer, and its policy page warns that flyer prices may differ from the website and that associate dealers can sell for less than the advertised price.

Triangle Rewards: how Canadian Tire money works now

The loyalty scheme is Triangle Rewards. Wikipedia says it launched in April 2018 and replaced the digital My Canadian Tire Money program and the Options Mastercard. Paper Canadian Tire money, which began in 1958 as gas bar coupons, lingered at some stores until 2020. The program rules page gives a base earning rate of 0.4 percent of the pre-tax purchase, with bonus offers stated as multiples of that rate. Redemption works at participating stores, but not for alcohol, tobacco, gift cards or prepaid cards, and you cannot redeem on the same transaction where you earned.

The same rules say most bonus offers are single-use per account and can take up to five weeks to post, and that every offer footer states "no rainchecks". Members may use the Triangle app, a phone number or a scanned device in place of the card, although some stores may still ask for the card or app. Searches such as "canadian tire rewards phone number" and "canadian tire rewards app" are about exactly that. Because the program can change terms without notice, read the rules before relying on a bonus.

Does Canadian Tire price match?

This is the top question. On the policy pages we opened, we did not find a price-match guarantee. What the company states is a price-consistency intention: it tries to align online and in-store prices, but online prices, availability and sale dates can differ by region, and dealers need not match an online price until a sale starts in their area. Dealers are also not obliged to stock promotional products, and a "was" price reflects the last national regular price. Clearance pricing is set by each store. If you hope for a match, ask the store, because the written policy does not promise one.

Canadian Tire return policy, with and without a receipt

The official returns page sets 90 days for unopened items in original packaging, returned with a receipt, with refunds to the original payment method. Without a receipt, stores can look up credit or debit purchases from the past 90 days, and photo ID may be required. Shorter windows apply to some categories:

Non-returnable items include gift cards, tinted paint, cut-to-length products, clearance and as-is goods, child car seats, bikes (a free tune-up is offered within 30 days instead) and trading cards. Refund cards expire after one year in most provinces, so spend them.

Canadian Tire hours, Sunday and holidays

Common questions include "canadian tire sunday hours", "canadian tire is open on canada day" and "canadian tire is open on victoria day". No chain-wide timetable exists, because each store, run by an associate dealer, sets its own hours. Use the store details page for your location. Shopping rules differ by province, and Wikipedia's summary says Manitoba, Ontario and Quebec, among others, require most stores to close on major holidays.

Who runs Canadian Tire

Brothers John William and Alfred Jackson Billes founded the company in Toronto in 1922, according to Wikipedia. It is listed on the TSX and headquartered at Canada Square in Toronto. Banners include Mark's, PartSource, Sport Chek and Party City Canada, and house brands include Mastercraft, MotoMaster, NOMA and Frank. Triangle Rewards works at several of those banners.
