Gulf Times reported the original store at Al Wathnan Mall in Muaither in 2011, and the Qatar Tribune said a Masskar anchors Waddan Mall in Mesaieed, opened February 2023.
We found no filing or company page naming the legal owner. The Mesaieed mall was announced by Wathnan Holding Group.
No official store schedule was found. Waddan Mall was announced with daily hours of 5am to 11pm, and most outlets close about 90 minutes at Friday prayer.
We found no verified loyalty card or app for Masskar.
Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Wednesday. Masskar gave no official release day.
The most regular item on the Masskar Hypermarket Offers This Week page is a one-page Wednesday Baker's Day Deals sheet. It appeared on 23 September, 30 September and 21 October 2026, each valid for a single day, and a Tuesday for Fishing Deals sheet ran on 20 October. Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Wednesday, which this pattern explains, though Masskar has not published a release day that we could find. Bigger editions sit alongside: a 21-page Outdoor Deals catalogue valid 15 to 25 October and a 20-page Crazy Weekend Deals edition that ran 1 to 3 October. So the practical reading is simple: day-themed single pages for a quick midweek shop, catalogues for weekend stock-ups and seasonal gear.
Gulf Times reported in February 2011 that Masskar opened at Al Wathnan Mall in Muaither, billed as the first family-only mega retail mart in Qatar, with managing directors Moossa Kurungot and Ashraf VP cutting the ribbon. Years later, the Qatar Tribune said Waddan Mall in Mesaieed would open on 1 February 2023 with a Masskar of nearly 11,000 square metres inside a complex of about 38,000 square metres, announced by Wathnan Holding Group. Those are the two locations we can document, and neither article gives a current branch list. Searches around Masskar Hypermarket owner, head office and location are common, but we found no company filing that names the legal owner, so we will not name one.
The one dated hours figure we have belongs to the mall rather than the store: the Qatar Tribune said Waddan Mall would operate daily from 5am to 11pm when it opened in 2023. An older Peninsula piece did not state Masskar's own hours, and we found no current official schedule. If you plan an early or late shop, phone the branch.
Friday trading follows the national rule. Gulf News reports that Ministerial Decision No. 80 of 2025, in force from 18 August 2025, requires most commercial outlets to close for 90 minutes from the first call to prayer until prayers conclude. Exemptions include pharmacies, hospitals, hotels, bakeries, fuel stations, telecoms and businesses working around the clock in shifts. The February 2026 ministry list of 33 outlets allowed to run 24 hours named only Al Meera, Lulu, Carrefour and Monoprix branches, so Masskar is not on it, according to the article's lists.
We did not find a Masskar loyalty card, points app or price-match promise, and search suggestions for those terms returned nothing for this store. What we can show is how the hypermarket has run promotions around its mall. For its sixth anniversary in 2017, The Peninsula reported that shoppers spending QR500 at Masskar received a QR100 voucher for the Zarabi department store and a QR50 gift card for games at Wathnan Fun City. That was a one-off event nearly ten years ago, so treat it as an example of the style, not a current offer. Live promotions will appear in the editions on our listing.
Masskar has no published returns page that we could open. The national rules still apply. The Peninsula reported in 2016 that the ministry sees a bill note saying sold goods are not returned or exchanged as a breach of the consumer protection law, which lets shoppers return or swap within a set period. We did not find that period in the article. Gulf Times has covered a ministry circular requiring shops to print their return and exchange policy on the back of the invoice, so turn the receipt over before you argue at the desk. For baked goods and fish, which are the focus of the day-themed sheets, raise any problem on the day you buy.
