The current edition has 2 pages.
The Qatar Tribune (June 2018) says Retail Mart was started by Indian Supermarket, which it described as active in Qatar's retail trade for more than 48 years. We found no filing naming individual owners.
Editions on AdsSOS include a 20-page Weekly Deals edition valid 22 to 27 October 2026 and an Al Kharaitiyat Big Savings edition valid until 27 November.
We could not confirm an official app from the pages we opened.
The Peninsula described the Al Wakrah Jadeed outlet as 24-hour in 2020. The February 2026 ministry list of 24-hour outlets did not name Retail Mart.
The Winter Drive ran 13 November 2025 to 12 May 2026 with one coupon per QR50 purchase. It has ended.
Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Thursday. No official release day was found.
Retail Mart is not a stranger brand from a foreign feed. The Qatar Tribune reported in June 2018 that it is a hypermarket chain started by Indian Supermarket, a business that it said had been in Qatar's retail trade for more than 48 years, and that its seventh outlet had just opened in Madinat Khalifa North. The same article describes fresh vegetables imported daily from India, meat, poultry, fish and most Indian brands on the shelves. The Peninsula added in November 2025 that the group has served the community for over 53 years. That is why you will often see Indian staples and fresh produce featured in the leaflets.
Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Thursday, and the latest batch shows it. A 20-page Weekly Deals edition runs 22 to 27 October 2026, and a two-page Big Savings edition for Al Kharaitiyat runs 22 October to 27 November. Earlier we hold a 16-page Mid Month Deals edition valid 15 to 27 October, two shorter Special Offers editions, and a 24-page Grand Opening Offers edition for Al Kharaitiyat from 12 to 20 October. So the Al Kharaitiyat store appears to be new, though we did not find an article about its opening and cannot say more than that. Retail Mart has published no release day that we could find. Open the Retail Mart Offers This Week page to see which edition applies to your area.
The one loyalty-style mechanism we can verify is a raffle. According to The Peninsula, the Winter Drive ran from 13 November 2025 to 12 May 2026. Each purchase of QR50 or more earned one electronic raffle coupon, the draw took place on 14 May 2026 at the Retail Mart Hypermarket in Wakra, and the prizes were one GWM Tank 500 and five MG ZS SUVs. The article calls it the group's second major promotion. That campaign is over, so do not expect it in the current flyers, but it shows the pattern: spend-based coupons, run for months, drawn at Wakra.
We found no points card, no dedicated Retail Mart app and no price-match promise. Google Suggest does offer a Retail Mart Qatar app query, but nothing we opened confirmed one, so check the app stores yourself if you need it.
Hours are the biggest gap. The Peninsula wrote in September 2020 that the Al Wakrah Jadeed hypermarket, the chain's eighth outlet, with about 20,000 square feet of space, a bakery and a take-away food court, was a 24-hour outlet. That is a 2020 description of one branch. When the ministry announced 33 round-the-clock outlets in February 2026, the report named branches of Al Meera, Lulu, Carrefour and Monoprix only, so Retail Mart is not on that list. If you plan a night shop, call the branch first.
The Friday rule applies to most outlets. Gulf News reports that Ministerial Decision No. 80 of 2025, effective 18 August 2025, requires a closure of 90 minutes from the first call to prayer until prayers end. Pharmacies, hospitals, hotels, bakeries, fuel stations, telecoms, transport and businesses running around the clock on shifts are exempt. Whether a given Retail Mart branch qualifies is not something we could verify.
We did not find a Retail Mart return policy. The ministry's position, reported by The Peninsula in 2016, is that a bill note saying sold goods will not be returned or exchanged breaches the consumer protection law, which entitles buyers to return or swap within a set period. Gulf Times covered a later ministry circular that tells shops to print their return and exchange policy on the invoice. For fresh produce, fish and meat, report a problem right away and keep the bill.
Retail Mart sells to a community with specific tastes, so compare it with other Doha grocery chains: the Rawabi Market offers, the Family Food Centre offers and the Al Meera Hypermarket offers. The Qatar hypermarkets hub lists the wider field, and the Qatar offers hub has every retailer we cover. The scans are images with no prices or stock levels, so use them to plan and confirm in store.
