The Qatar Tribune (March 2024) describes Baladi Express, a group platform with an app for Android and iOS. It does not give fees or terms.
The Qatar Tribune said the Al Gharrafa branch welcomes shoppers 24 hours a day (2024). Other branches have no verified hours in our sources.
Al Baladi Holding Group, chaired by Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah with Hani Al-Sayyadi as CEO, per the Qatar Tribune.
Sources mention Abu Hamour (opened November 2017) and Al Gharrafa; our current flyers include an Al Duhail edition.
Editions include a one-day Today's Prices sheet and Month End Saver Deal for Al Duhail valid 21 to 27 October 2026.
Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Wednesday. No official release day was found.
The Souq Al Baladi Offers This Week page mixes two rhythms. Single-page Today's Prices Deals sheets appear for just one day, for example on 14, 18 and 21 October 2026, which suits a market that trades in fresh produce. Alongside them sit bigger branch editions: Month End Saver Deal for Al Duhail, nine pages, valid 21 to 27 October, and Exclusive Digital Deals for Al Duhail, four pages, valid 5 to 10 October. There was also a one-page Special Offer for a Vivo V80 Lite smartphone, which tells you the flyer is not purely food. Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Wednesday. Souq Al Baladi has not published a release day that we could find.
Think market hall first, hypermarket second. The Peninsula reported that the first Souq Al Baladi opened at Abu Hamour Central Market on 4 November 2017 in a traditional Qatari design, selling fruit, vegetables, fish, meat, chicken, dairy, bakery items, sweets, dates, coffee and cooked food, aimed at Qataris and expatriates alike. The Qatar Tribune said in March 2024 that Al Baladi Holding Group, chaired by Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah with Hani Al-Sayyadi as CEO, was opening branches in more regions. It gave the Al Gharrafa branch as about 25,000 square metres with parking, welcoming shoppers 24 hours a day, and described the Doha-based operation as one of the largest commercial markets in the country. The sections it lists include fish, meat, poultry, fruit, vegetables, dairy, baked goods, hot food, sweets, dates, nuts, coffee and spices.
People search for Souq Al Baladi online shopping and the Souq Al Baladi app, and there is a documented answer. The Qatar Tribune's 2024 article says the group runs Baladi Express, which offers a multi-source app for Android and iOS phones, built over two years on a private cloud, with order delivery described as a step up in quality, cost and time. It also names Dr. Muhammad Ali Othman as general manager of the group and of Baladi Express. The article does not give delivery fees, slots, minimum orders or whether the app is linked to a points scheme, so we say nothing on those. A related brand, Baladi Premium at Velero Mall in Lusail, was reported by The Peninsula in December 2023 as open 24 hours, with over 150,000 products over four floors.
Hours are where branches differ. The 24-hour claim for Gharrafa comes from a 2024 article and may have changed, and the other branches have no verified hours in our sources. When the ministry announced 33 round-the-clock hypermarket outlets in February 2026, The Peninsula named only Al Meera, Lulu, Carrefour and Monoprix branches, so Souq Al Baladi is not on that list, which does not necessarily contradict a branch's own policy, since the list covered hypermarket announcements made that day.
For Fridays, Gulf News reports that Ministerial Decision No. 80 of 2025, effective 18 August 2025, requires most outlets to close for 90 minutes from the first call to prayer until prayers end. Exemptions include pharmacies, hospitals, hotels, bakeries, fuel stations, telecoms, transport and businesses working around the clock on a shift system. Whether a 24-hour Souq Al Baladi branch is covered by that exemption is not stated in the sources we opened, so call the branch you plan to visit.
We found no published return policy for Souq Al Baladi. The baseline is national law. The Peninsula reported in 2016 that the ministry regards a bill note saying sold goods will not be returned or exchanged as a violation of the consumer protection law. Gulf Times covered a ministry circular telling shops to print their return and exchange policy on the invoice. For fresh and cooked food, check weight and quality at the counter, keep the receipt and raise a complaint on the same day. We found no loyalty card for the physical markets and do not assert that none exists.
The Al Duhail and Gharrafa branches serve different parts of Doha, so read the branch name on each scan. For comparison, open the Regency Hypermarket offers, the Rawabi Market offers and the Lulu Hypermarket offers. The Qatar hypermarkets hub lists the rest, and the Qatar offers hub covers every retailer on AdsSOS. The scans are images without live stock or price search, so confirm what you need on the app or at the branch.
