As a name, yes. Wikipedia says the original chain no longer exists after the November 2024 administration; the Homebase brand continues online and as a concession within The Range stores.
CDS Superstores, the owner of The Range and wilko, bought the Homebase brand, website and 49 stores in November 2024, according to Wikipedia and trade press.
It depends on the host shop. In England and Wales, shops over 280 square metres may open for six hours on a Sunday and not on Easter Sunday, per Tendring District Council.
We could not load the official policy. By law, faulty or misdescribed goods must be refunded, and online orders can normally be cancelled within 14 days of delivery.
We found no page stating a current Homebase price-matching rule, so we cannot confirm one.
The edition listed on AdsSOS runs 9 October to 9 November 2026 and has six pages.
If you grew up with a Homebase on the retail park, the awkward news comes first. Wikipedia describes the original chain as something that no longer exists: it went into administration in November 2024, and its name now survives as an online brand and as a concession inside The Range. The last four of the old-style stores (Bishop's Stortford, Frome, Market Harborough and Sevenoaks) shut on 22 March 2025 and were later converted to The Range. So this page is about a brand that is still advertising, not a high street you can wander down.
Trade press from the time gives the buyer's own line. A furniture news report dated 19 November 2024 quotes CDS group chief executive Alex Simpkin saying the Homebase brand will keep trading online and that CDS plans to keep investing in it. Interior Daily, writing five days earlier, described a pre-pack sale of about 75 locations including Irish ones, so early figures varied. We quote Wikipedia's 49 as the settled number.
The edition on AdsSOS carries the title "Homebase - Offers" and runs from 9 October to 9 November 2026, six pages. It is a monthly-style window rather than a weekly one, and we have no usual start weekday to give you. Treat it the way you would any seasonal garden and home brochure: a guide to what the brand is pushing, not a promise that a particular shop has the item. With branches converted to The Range, availability matters more than usual.
Comparing ranges is easiest with the nearest rivals. The B&Q offers this week page covers the biggest DIY chain on our list, and Screwfix deals and leaflet is better if you need tools. For kitchens and storage there is the IKEA leaflet, and the whole home and garden leaflet hub collects the category.
The Range has been testing a format it calls Garden Centres by Homebase, which a furniture trade report describes as mixing The Range's general product variety with Homebase plants and garden care. That article names six sites: Birmingham Kings Heath, Pollokshaws, Christchurch, Newton Abbot, Felixstowe and Blyth. Whether one is near you is a postcode job on The Range's own site, because we have not seen a full list.
Concessions are not new to the brand. In March 2020 Homebase announced a dwell furniture concession, starting in Chichester and selling selected items online as well. Old habits.
People search "homebase sunday opening hours", "is homebase open on easter sunday" and "what time does homebase close". With the old chain gone, the honest answer depends on which kind of Homebase you mean. A concession keeps the hours of the shop around it. The legal frame, from Tendring District Council, is that shops of more than 280 square metres in England and Wales may open for six hours on a Sunday and may not open on Easter Sunday. That is a law summary, not a timetable, so look at the host shop's page.
Queries such as "homebase return policy", "does homebase price match" and "homebase delivery times" are all asked. The official Homebase site would not load for us, and we have not seen any page that states a current price-matching rule, so we will not guess at one. For returns, GOV.UK is the dependable anchor: goods that are faulty or not as described must be refunded, and online orders can normally be cancelled within 14 days of delivery, with the shop refunding within 14 days of getting the goods back. Anything beyond that is the retailer's own goodwill and is spelled out at checkout.
It is one of the genuine suggestions Google offers, and the fair reply is: yes as a name, no as the sprawling chain of 164 outlets that Wikipedia counted in 2020. Browse the UK leaflet hub for retailers that still run the full network of shops.
