IKEA's UK page states a 365-day return policy for products, opened or unopened, provided they come back clean and undamaged. Online orders also carry a 14-day withdrawal right from delivery.
IKEA's UK returns page describes IKEA Family as a free club offering points, rewards and benefits.
Wikipedia lists 22 current UK stores, including a London Oxford Street store opened on 1 May 2025.
The IKEA edition currently listed on AdsSOS is a five-page offers leaflet valid from 1 October to 31 October 2026, so it follows a calendar month rather than a weekly cycle. We did not find an official IKEA statement about a fixed publication day or hour for UK offers, and our data holds no typical start weekday, so we report only the dates on the scan. Because offers on a monthly leaflet may be tied to particular stores or to online orders, check the conditions printed beside each item.
If you are furnishing a home, you can compare with B&Q leaflets this week, Homebase leaflets this week and Screwfix leaflets this week, all in the home and garden leaflets this week category. The United Kingdom leaflet hub lists every other retailer.
IKEA Family is the retailer's free membership club. The UK returns page describes it as a free club offering points, rewards and benefits. Pages for other countries describe extras such as monthly member prices on selected food and home furnishing items, a day of early access to pre-sale offers and a free hot drink on weekdays, but those details differ by country, so we do not assume they apply in Britain. Read the UK IKEA Family page for current benefits, and add your membership to your IKEA account if you shop online. We have no information on how member prices relate to the advertised leaflet offers.
The official UK customer service page states a 365-day return policy under which any product, opened or unopened, can be returned within 365 days of purchase. Items must come back clean and undamaged, and IKEA says it cannot accept products that are dirty, stained or damaged. For online and telephone orders there is also a separate right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days after the last item is delivered. You may cancel the whole order or selected items, and you receive a refund plus the basic delivery charge for the cancelled items.
If you ask IKEA to collect items, a collection charge may apply, which varies by location and is deducted from the refund where possible. The withdrawal right does not cover custom-made products, food products or appliances that have already been installed. Separate guarantees of three to twenty-five years cover product issues, subject to their terms. We did not find an official UK price-match policy, so we do not describe one.
Opening times differ by store and are listed on the UK IKEA website. In England and Wales the Sunday Trading Act 1994 limits shops over 280 square metres to six continuous hours between 10am and 6pm on a Sunday, and large shops must remain closed on Easter Sunday and on Christmas Day if it falls on a Sunday. Check each store page for its Sunday window. We did not verify Scottish rules, and we found no official statement about clearance or markdown routines.
Wikipedia lists 22 current IKEA stores in the United Kingdom, with the first UK store dated to 1987. The page says full-size city-centre stores were built in Ashton-under-Lyne in 2006 and Southampton in 2009, in response to government restrictions on large out-of-town retailers, while a Coventry store opened in 2007 and closed in 2020. A 4,600 square metre store opened inside Livat Hammersmith in London in 2022, and a store at 214 Oxford Street, in the former Topshop flagship, opened on 1 May 2025.
Wikipedia adds that Ingka Group operates most IKEA stores as a franchisee. Other UK ventures it records include BoKlok flat-pack homes and residential solar panel kits, and a virtual mobile network, IKEA Family Mobile, which ran from 2008 until August 2015.
