Frequently asked questions about the Lidl leaflet

When does the Lidl weekly leaflet change?

The weekly editions we list run Thursday to Wednesday, for example 22 to 28 October 2026 for Wales and Scotland. Separate editions exist for England, Scotland and Wales.

How long can I return Lidl non-food specials?

Lidl's refund policy allows faulty items back within 12 months and change-of-mind returns within 30 days, in original packaging, resaleable and with the receipt.

Can I show a digital receipt for a return?

Lidl's customer care says you can show the digital receipt in your Lidl Plus account to a store team member.

Lidl Leaflet This Week: publication rhythm and schedule

Lidl publishes a weekly leaflet for each nation, and the editions we hold show the pattern clearly. Weekly offers for England and Scotland ran from 15 to 21 October 2026, and the Wales and Scotland editions for the following week run from 22 to 28 October 2026, at 30 to 32 pages each. That is a Thursday start and a Wednesday finish, and editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Thursday.

Lidl's own homepage, checked in October 2026, links to Online Leaflets in the main menu and describes its footer as the place for weekly leaflets and magazines. Its offers section has This week and Coming up tabs, with items such as Pick of the Week, Flavour of the Week and seasonal promotions that carry their own start dates, for example Thursday 15 October. Browse the wider UK supermarkets leaflets section to compare the weekly rhythm with other chains.

How to save: loyalty card and app

The Lidl Plus app is the main saving tool. Signed-out visitors are prompted to sign in to see offers and coupons, and the homepage lists Lidl Plus Points, Lidl Plus Activations and Lidl Plus partner offers, together with electric vehicle charging that can be paid through Lidl Plus or by card. A reference page says Lidl launched Lidl Plus in August 2018 and announced a Scan and Go feature for the UK and Ireland app in September 2025.

The app also carries Click, Reserve and Collect. Lidl GB began a trial on 7 April 2025 that let members reserve a Middle of Lidl item before it reached shelves, and the homepage still promotes a Click Reserve Collect banner. The refund policy adds practical rules for Plus members: show a digital receipt from your account to a team member when returning goods, and qualifying spend for the Coupon Plus feature counts only when the app is scanned at the time of purchase.

Price matching, returns and coupon rules

We found no published Lidl price-match promise. The official refund policy covers returns in detail:

Lidl's customer care pages say card refunds can take up to five working days. The policy applies in addition to your legal rights.

Smart shopping: hours and markdown habits

We did not find a verified national opening schedule, so use the Store Finder in the main menu. In England and Wales the Sunday Trading Act 1994 limits shops over 280 square metres to six continuous hours between 10am and 6pm on Sundays, and large shops must close on Easter Sunday. We could not verify the Scottish position from the sources we opened.

About Lidl in United Kingdom

Lidl opened its first UK store in 1994. A reference page dated September 2026 lists 1,021 stores in Great Britain, with 848 in England, 113 in Scotland and 60 in Wales, plus 14 warehouses. Northern Ireland's 45 stores appear separately and are managed through Lidl Ireland. The same page says Lidl held 8.1 percent of UK grocery sales in June 2025 and passed Morrisons in May 2026 to become the fifth-largest UK supermarket, with 8.6 percent.
