Adendorff Catalogue This Week

Adendorff catalogue 2026: a toolbox of PDFs rather than one weekly leaflet

If you landed here looking for a supermarket-style weekly leaflet, adjust your expectations. Adendorff publishes in blocks by trade. The editions we hold right now are a monthly Specials catalogue (1 to 31 October 2026, 42 pages) and four year-long product catalogues that all run from 1 January to 31 December 2026: Welding at 42 pages, Automotive at 36, Electrical at 24 and Plumbing at 20. Editions listed on AdsSOS usually start on a Thursday, which fits the Specials edition, but the annual books have no weekly rhythm at all. Searches such as "adendorff catalogue 2026 price list" and "adendorff catalogue pdf download" show people want the whole book, and it is worth saving the one for your trade.

Who Adendorff Machinery Mart is

Adendorff Machinery Mart is a South African tools and equipment retailer with its head office at 98 Sailor Malan Avenue in Aeroton, Johannesburg, and its website says it has been trusted since 1990. The same site lists air compressors and pneumatic tools, construction and engineering equipment, garage and garden equipment, generators, hand and power tools, pumps, tool storage, welding and woodworking equipment, and meat processing equipment, with brands such as Makita, Wacker Neuson, Gedore and Fluke. German machine-tool maker Knuth names Adendorff as its local partner and describes more than 25 branches nationwide plus an online store.

The history is told differently depending on where you look. A wiki-style entry that appeared in our search results says the business began in the early 1970s in Turffontein as an auction house selling liquidated assets, before retail took over, and that it sells an in-house brand called Mac-Afric. Because that page is an editable wiki and the company says 1990 on its own site, we leave the founding year open.

How many Adendorff stores are there?

This is one of the real queries ("how many adendorff stores are there"), and the sources disagree. The official site says 30 stores nationwide. Knuth says more than 25 branches, a business directory said 25, and a recruitment advert cited 24. Use the store locator on the official site, because a branch that opened last year will not be in the older write-ups.

Adendorff trade credit, delivery and the online shop

Credit questions come up often ("adendorff credit application", "does adendorff offer credit"). The official site offers Adendorff Trade Credit, aimed at businesses, with an application page. It also promotes nationwide delivery or collection from your nearest store, an online shop with accounts and a wish list, and a national call centre number of 011 434 7000. We did not read the credit terms, so we cannot say what the approval criteria or limits are. We also found no loyalty card, app or coupon scheme on the page we opened and make no claim about one.

Adendorff trading hours, Sundays and public holidays

"Is adendorff open on sunday" and "adendorff trading hours public holidays" are asked again and again. The homepage links to a business hours page and shows a banner about branch trading hours, but did not display the times in the text we could read, and a direct return-policy address we tried returned a not-found error. So we will not guess. Hours are set per branch, and workshop-style stores in industrial areas often differ from mall shops, which is why a phone call to your branch beats any general answer.

Returns and your rights as a buyer

The site links to a Return and Refund Policy, but we could not open its terms and so quote none. The Consumer Protection Act, which commenced on 31 March 2011 according to the government website, applies to a retail purchase. Consumer Goods and Services Ombud decisions on SAFLII describe section 56, under which goods that fail the quality standard can be returned within six months for repair, replacement or a refund. For power tools, test the machine in the shop where you can, keep the box and the invoice, and register any warranty with the brand.

Where Adendorff fits among South African tool and hardware stores

Adendorff sits at the machinery end of the market rather than the paint-and-paving end. For general building supplies, the Builders catalogue this week is the usual comparison, and the Gelmar specials catalogue covers doors, shutters and kitchen units. The CTM wholesale catalogue is a different kind of seller again. Browse the home, garden and DIY catalogues section for the rest, or go back to the South Africa catalogues and specials hub.
