Takealot Catalogue This Week

Takealot catalogue: how an online-only retailer's specials work

First, an important point: Takealot has no high-street shelves to photograph. It is an online retailer, so its catalogue is a promotional flyer for web deals. The edition AdsSOS lists is Takealot Specials, valid from Friday 2 October to Monday 2 November 2026, five pages, so just over a month. We hold no recurring weekday for Takealot, and the company does not state a catalogue release day that we found. When you type "takealot catalogue this week" or "takealot specials today appliances catalogue", expect a long, themed flyer rather than a sharp weekly cycle. Pair it with the live site for current stock.

Who is Takealot?

According to Wikipedia, Takealot Group is a South African e-commerce company headquartered in Cape Town, founded in 2011 and owned by Naspers, which has held 96 percent since 2018. Kim Reid and Tiger Global relaunched an existing business as takealot.com. It bought Mr Delivery, now Mr D, and Superbalist in 2014, merged with Kalahari.com in 2015 and sold Superbalist in September 2024. The group reported its first full-year earnings-before-tax profit in June 2026, and the marketplace for third-party sellers passed 11,000 sellers by 2024. Pickup points have existed since 2019, with distribution centres in the Western Cape and Gauteng.

That marketplace model matters for shoppers. A product listed on Takealot may come from the retailer or from an outside seller, and the people who search "takealot is legit" or "does takealot sell fake products" are really asking about that. The Wikipedia entry notes a 2026 claim by merchants about cloned products and Takealot's denial of rising counterfeits, which is a reason to read the seller line on a product page.

We file it under discount and general merchandise catalogues in South Africa, since it sells everything from appliances and phones to baby goods.

Takealot delivery and TakealotMORE

A very common query is "takealot how to get free delivery". EWN reported on 2 September 2026 that the minimum order value for free standard delivery rose from R650 to R750, and that orders below that pay a R75 standard fee. The article does not give an effective date, so check the checkout screen. It also says the TakealotMORE subscription has free delivery benefits that depend on the membership tier, without giving the tier details, and Wikipedia adds that the subscription launched in 2024.

Shoppers also ask "does takealot deliver on weekends" and "does takealot deliver on sundays". We could not open an official delivery-days page, so we will not promise weekend slots. The company's delivery options are shown at checkout once you enter your address.

Takealot return policy: 30 days, with conditions

JustMoney describes Takealot's returns policy as a 30-day window counted from delivery. Only the purchaser can return an item, and you start by logging into your account. Unless it is faulty, the item must be unused and undamaged with accessories, manuals and packaging. Mark the parcel with the Return Reference Number issued when you log the return. After approval, a courier collects at no charge, the warehouse inspects the item, and you can choose account credit, a refund or a replacement, subject to stock, within ten days. The same piece says electronic and consumable products, such as eBooks and beauty items, cannot be returned.

Policy and law are different things. EWN reported a case in which a customer's damaged couch was refused because she reported it 35 days after delivery, and Takealot reversed course and refunded her after consumer journalist Wendy Knowler intervened. The explainer's main point is that Section 56 of the Consumer Protection Act gives six months for defective goods, so open parcels promptly and report faults at once.

Rewards, apps and payment questions

People search "takealot rewards", "takealot absa rewards" and "takealot app". We did not open an official rewards page, so we cannot say how partner programmes work; the Takealot app and site are where current offers appear. "Does takealot use payflex" and "does takealot have pay just now" are also frequent, and we could not verify either from an official page, so look at the payment options at checkout.

Shopping hours and pickup

Because Takealot is online, "trading hours" really means pickup point opening times, which vary by location. Phone queries like "takealot trading hours sunday" are best answered by the pickup point you chose.
