DMCA and Copyright Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
AdsSOS respects the intellectual property of others. This page explains how copyright owners and retailers can ask us to remove or update promotional circular scans, logos or other material, in line with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512) and similar laws.
What we host
We store small WebP cover previews of recent circulars and display retailer logos and full circular pages from their source servers. When we remove a circular page from our site, the cover preview is deleted and no longer linked. We do not control copies hosted elsewhere.
Retailers: update or remove a circular
If you represent a retailer and want a circular, logo or store profile updated or taken down, email contact@adssos.net with the subject “Retailer request”, the page address (URL) and the action you want. You do not need to follow the formal notice below: a short message from a company address is enough, and we act on verified requests within 24 to 48 business hours.
Filing a copyright takedown notice
If you are a copyright owner or authorised to act for one and believe material on AdsSOS infringes your copyright, send a written notice to contact@adssos.net with the subject “DMCA notice”. It must include:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
- Identification of the material you want removed, with the exact page address (URL) on adssos.net.
- Your name, postal address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorised to act on the owner’s behalf.
Incomplete notices may be returned for correction. Please note that knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing may make you liable for damages under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f).
What happens next
When we receive a valid notice we remove or disable access to the identified material promptly and may notify the person who supplied it. We may share the notice with the person affected.
Counter-notice
If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send a counter-notice to the same address with: your signature; identification of the removed material and where it appeared; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief the removal was a mistake; and your name, address, telephone number and consent to the jurisdiction of the courts of your address. If the original complainant does not notify us within 10 to 14 business days that it has filed a court action, we may restore the material.
Repeat infringers
In appropriate circumstances we will terminate access for users who are repeat infringers.
Outside the United States
Rights holders in other countries can use the same address for copyright, trademark and database-right requests. We assess each request under the law that applies to it.
