Privacy Policy
Last updated: 25 October 2026
This policy explains what information AdsSOS (“we”, “us”) collects when you visit adssos.net, why, who receives it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (CCPA/CPRA).
1. Who we are
AdsSOS is an independent circular and catalogue aggregator. For any privacy question or request, write to contact@adssos.net or use our contact form. The site has no user accounts, no sign-up and no online purchases.
2. Information we collect
- Server log files. Like most websites, our server records the IP address, browser type, requested page, referring page, date and time and the response status of each request. We use logs for security, to keep the site working and to understand overall traffic.
- Analytics data. We use Google Analytics (measurement ID G-X0756QVFBE) to count visits and see which pages are useful, and Microsoft Clarity to understand how pages are used (for example where visitors click and scroll). These services set cookies or similar identifiers and receive technical data such as your IP address, device, browser, pages viewed and approximate location. We use them in aggregate to improve the site.
- A region cookie. When you visit a country page we store a first-party cookie named
adssos_ccwith the country code (for example “us”), for up to six months, so that the home page can show your country first. It contains no personal data. - Contact messages. If you use the contact form we receive your name, email address, subject and message. We use them only to answer you and keep them as long as needed to handle your request and for legal record keeping, then delete them.
- Images from third parties. Retailer logos and circular pages are loaded from the servers of the retailers’ catalogue partners, and country flags from a flag image service. When your browser loads them, those servers see your IP address and browser details, as with any image on the web.
3. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We use: (a) a functional cookie for your region, described above; (b) analytics cookies from Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity. Third-party cookies may also be set by the services listed in section 5.
How to manage or disable cookies
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies / Delete browsing data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
- Google Analytics opt-out: install the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
- Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track: you can send these signals from your browser or extensions; we treat a Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out of sharing for advertising.
Blocking cookies does not stop you from using the site, although your region will not be remembered.
4. Advertising
At the time of writing we do not show advertisements. We may in future display ads served by Google AdSense or other programmatic advertising networks. If we do, these partners will be disclosed here and the following applies: third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and web beacons to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites; Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet; you can opt out of personalised advertising in Google Ads Settings, or through aboutads.info and, in Europe, youronlinechoices.eu. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland we will ask for your consent before using advertising cookies.
5. Who receives your data
We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising. We share data only with service providers that help us run the site: our hosting provider (server logs), Google (Analytics), Microsoft (Clarity) and, if you write to us, our email provider. These providers process data under their own terms and privacy policies. Some of them are located outside your country, including in the United States; where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or an adequacy decision.
6. Legal bases (GDPR)
- Legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)): security, server logs, and measuring and improving the site.
- Consent (Article 6(1)(a)): analytics and advertising cookies where the law requires it. You can withdraw consent at any time by changing your browser settings or contacting us.
- Contract / steps requested by you (Article 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interests: answering messages you send us.
7. Your rights
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, withdraw consent, and lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.
If you are a California resident you have the right to know what personal information we collect and use, to delete it, to correct it, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do not sell or share personal information), and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Authorised agents may submit requests for you.
To exercise a right, email contact@adssos.net. We may need to verify your identity and will answer within 30 days (45 days under the CCPA, extendable once where the law allows).
8. Retention and security
Server logs are kept for a limited period needed for security and maintenance. Analytics data is kept according to the retention settings of the analytics providers. Contact messages are deleted once your request is handled. We use HTTPS and restrict access to our systems, but no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
9. Children
AdsSOS is a general-audience site and is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Links to other websites
Our pages link to retailer websites and other third parties. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices; please read their policies.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our practices or the law change. The date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes will be announced on this page.
