The current Co-op leaflet is valid from 9 October 2026 until 10 November 2026.
The current edition has 5 pages.
The Co-op membership page says joining costs one pound, which is returned on your first in-store shop when you select your personalised offer.
No. MoneySavingExpert reported that the Co-op ended its rewards of 2p per pound on own-brand goods from 24 January 2024, replacing it with Member Prices.
No. The official page says they do not apply in independent co-operative societies, some concession stores, franchise stores or non-Co-op branded stores.
The Co-op edition currently listed on AdsSOS is a five-page offers leaflet valid from Friday 9 October to Tuesday 10 November 2026, which is a little over four weeks. We did not find an official Co-op statement about a fixed release day or time, and our data holds no typical start weekday, so we report only the dates printed on the scan. Because the period is long, individual shops may not hold every advertised line for the whole time. Co-op stores range from small neighbourhood shops to larger supermarkets, and stock differs accordingly.
If you want to compare grocery offers, our supermarkets leaflets this week category lists the other chains, and the United Kingdom leaflet hub covers every retailer we track.
Co-op runs a membership scheme. According to the Co-op membership page, joining costs one pound, and that pound is returned on your first in-store shop when you choose your personalised offer. You can join online or in the Co-op app, and a digital membership card is available straight away, with a plastic card arriving within ten working days if you ask for one. Benefits listed include personalised weekly offers, lower Member Prices on everyday essentials such as milk and bread, the choice of a local cause that receives a share of profits, a vote at the annual general meeting, and discounts on Funeralcare, Insurance and Legal Services.
The official page says Member Prices are not available in independent co-operative societies, in some Co-op Live concession stores, in Co-op franchise stores or in non-Co-op branded stores. This matters because the Co-op name is used by several independent societies as well as the Co-op Group. Older guides still describe two pence back per pound on own-brand items. The Co-op ended that reward on 24 January 2024, according to MoneySavingExpert, so ignore articles that mention it.
We could not find a published price-match promise from the Co-op, and we could not open an official page stating a general returns window for groceries, so we do not quote either. Member Prices work through the membership card or app, so scan it at the till. The Co-op app also shows your membership number, which is needed to get Member Prices when ordering through some delivery partners, as the group stated when it launched Member Prices on Uber Eats. Check the terms of any offer in the app before relying on it.
Opening times are set shop by shop and are shown on the Co-op store finder. In England and Wales the Sunday Trading Act 1994 limits only shops over 280 square metres, which may open for six continuous hours between 10am and 6pm on a Sunday, while smaller shops, including most neighbourhood Co-ops, may open without that limit. Large shops must close on Easter Sunday and on Christmas Day if it falls on a Sunday. We did not verify the rules in Scotland. We found no official Co-op statement about reduced-price routines, so we do not describe any.
Co-op Food is the food retail brand of the Co-operative Group, a consumer co-operative headquartered in Manchester whose oldest member society is the Rochdale Society of Equitable Pioneers, founded in 1844. Wikipedia gives differing counts, nearly 2,400 Co-op Group food stores in the text and 2,927 locations in the infobox for 2024, and over 15 independent societies also run Co-op food shops. Co-op Wholesale supplies more than 6,000 stores.
Own-brand ranges include the standard Co-op range, Irresistible at the premium end, Free From, the plant-based Gro and the low-price Honest Value. The Co-operative Group bought Somerfield in 2009.
