Waitrose Leaflet This Week: publication rhythm and schedule

The Waitrose edition currently held on AdsSOS is titled October 2026 and covers 1 October to 31 October 2026 across 128 pages. That makes it a monthly publication rather than a weekly sheet, so a Leaflet This Week search will usually lead to a month-long document with offers organised inside it. We could not open the official Waitrose site this session and found no statement of a fixed release day, so we do not assert one. The validity dates printed on the scan are the reliable guide to when each offer applies.

How to save: loyalty card and app

The loyalty scheme is myWaitrose, which Wikipedia says launched in late 2011. It is described there as a benefits club rather than a points scheme, offering member deals and a free hot drink in store. That free drink was withdrawn during the pandemic and returned in February 2023. Trade reports say members must make a purchase, can claim one hot drink a day from a short list that includes tea, americano, latte and cappuccino, and scan their loyalty card to redeem it. A bring-your-own-cup condition applied under the restored offer, and a trial in 10 stores later allowed disposable cups, so check what your branch currently permits.

In November 2025 Retail Gazette reported a nationwide rollout of Little Treats, following a trial in 74 shops. Members who sign up online can unlock up to three treats a month at spending thresholds of 50, 100 and 250 pounds, and the treats appear automatically in the online account or the app. They can be free items or money off, with pilot examples including a bunch of roses, a No.1 pizza and vouchers worth up to 5 pounds. The same article says myWaitrose then had ten benefits, including personalised discounts, service counter reductions and a monthly Waitrose Food magazine.

Price matching, returns and coupon rules

Waitrose ran a Brand Price Match against Tesco for years, and trade coverage from 2010 to 2017 recorded it being narrowed to roughly 1,000 branded lines. Those articles are old, and we did not find a current official page confirming that the scheme still operates, so we do not present it as live. We also found no returns or refund policy page that we could open. For a faulty or unwanted item, ask at the customer service desk and keep the receipt, and remember that statutory consumer rights apply whatever a store policy says.

Smart shopping: hours and markdown habits

We could not verify current opening hours from an official source, and shop times differ between branches, so use the store finder on waitrose.com before travelling. Sunday trading rules also shape hours. According to council guidance, such as Stockport's, shops over 280 square metres in England and Wales may trade for only six continuous hours between 10am and 6pm on a Sunday, and large shops must close on Easter Sunday. We found no official statement about reduced-price or markdown routines, so we make no claim about them.

About Waitrose in the United Kingdom

Waitrose began in 1904 in Acton, West London, as Waite, Rose and Taylor, and took the Waitrose name in 1908. It has been owned by the John Lewis Partnership since 1937, which Wikipedia describes as the largest employee-owned business in the country, and it is headquartered in Bracknell, Berkshire. As of April 2023 the same article counted 329 shops across Great Britain and the Channel Islands, including 65 little Waitrose convenience shops, though that figure may have moved since. Industry reports said Waitrose sales rose about 7 percent to 8.5 billion pounds in the year to 31 January 2026.

Own-label ranges named on Wikipedia include Essential Waitrose, the premium No.1 Waitrose, Cooks Ingredients, Heston for Waitrose and Waitrose Duchy Organic. Shoppers weighing a premium grocer against discount alternatives often look at the Aldi leaflet this week, while those buying in bulk may check Booker Wholesale offers for catering needs.
