Shoprite - Latest circular - South Africa
ShopriteLatest circular, valid until 22 November 2026

Quick answer: On 29 October 2026 the Shoprite offers we could verify through aggregators were: Xtra Savings catalogues (Gauteng and an Eastern Cape combo) running 19 October to 8 November, a Cash and Carry Month End Bulk Savings catalogue for Gauteng running 19 October to 1 November, and Shoprite Liquor catalogues ending 1 and 8 November. A single-day Market Day on 28 October has passed, and "Fill Up With Weekend Deals" (23 to 25 October) has expired. Shoprite Holdings counted 3,710 stores in June 2026 and 36.5 million Xtra Savings customers. Check shoprite.co.za and the Xtra Savings app for your region.

Last updated: 29 October 2026. Facts come from My Catalogue, Guzzle, Cataloguespecials and Wikipedia (Shoprite Holdings). Several search results were US ShopRite (Wakefern) pages, which are a different company, and were excluded. Aggregator dates can be inconsistent. We do not quote shelf prices.

What these catalogues are for

  • Xtra Savings catalogues: the everyday multi-week catalogue with member prices.
  • Cash and Carry Month End Bulk Savings: larger quantities for traders, spaza shops and big households around month end.
  • Weekend deals: short Friday to Sunday promotions, which we expect to recur but cannot confirm for 30 October to 1 November.
  • Market Day: single-day fresh-produce and grocery events in some provinces.

How to use a dated list

Usave - Latest circular - South Africa
UsaveLatest circular, valid until 8 November 2026
  1. Sort by end date. Buy first what ends first.
  2. Check your region. Gauteng and Eastern Cape listings differ.
  3. Check store format. Shoprite, Usave and Checkers have separate leaflets.
  4. Scan your card. Many prices need Xtra Savings.
  5. Check the slip.

A month-end shopping example (invented)

A spaza owner buys R6,000 of stock at a Month End Bulk catalogue. If the bulk prices are 6% below normal wholesale on average, the saving is R360. Add R150 transport and the net saving is R210. A household buying R2,000 of staples might save R120 gross, but R40 in transport leaves R80. So the bigger your purchase, the more bulk deals make sense.

How to keep a personal record of Shoprite specials

Because catalogues overlap, regional versions differ and aggregators sometimes show wrong dates, a short personal record is the best way to avoid confusion. Use your phone's notes app and write three lines for each catalogue you plan to use: the name, the start and end dates, and the two or three items you want. Add a reminder for the day before the end date. After you shop, note the price you actually paid. Over a few months you will build your own price history, which is more reliable than any catalogue headline.

It also helps to keep screenshots of important shelf tags. If a till price differs from the tag, a photo is strong evidence and most stores correct the price quickly. Under the Consumer Protection Act, retailers must price accurately, and honest mistakes are normally corrected on the spot. Finally, remember that "current" is a moving target: a special that is valid today may end tomorrow, and a new catalogue may start without notice. Check the date on the page, check the region, and check the store, in that order.
