Last updated: October 2026. Facts come from the cataloguespecials.co.za Shoprite Liquor page (updated 23 October 2026), LatestSpecials and the My Catalogue Supa Store page. Some listings do not state pack sizes, so unit prices cannot always be calculated. The page gave no store count or member-price information. Aggregator prices must be confirmed in store.

Examples listed

Product	Price	Saving stated	Our unit calculation
Hennessy VS Cognac 750 ml	R509.99	Not stated	R679.99 per litre
Jagermeister Orange Liqueur 750 ml	R299.99	R70	R399.99 per litre; was about R369.99
Flying Fish Premium Pressed Lemon, 6 x 500 ml cans	R165	R65	R55 per litre (3 L); was R230

Amarula Original Liqueur	R149	R40	Size not stated
Klipdrift	R219.99	Not stated	Size not stated
4th Street	R109.99	Not stated	Size not stated

Our calculation for the Jagermeister: R299.99 with a R70 saving implies an earlier price of about R369.99, a discount of roughly 19%. The Flying Fish pack at R165 with a R65 saving implies R230 before, a discount of about 28%. The Brutal Fruit entry (R199 for a "500 ml" spritzer with a R60 saving) most likely refers to a multipack; check the pack before comparing. The aggregator did not state sizes for several listings, which is a common data gap.

How to judge a liquor special

1. Check the pack size and calculate the price per litre.
2. Compare with another chain: Checkers Liquor, Pick n Pay Liquor, tops! at SPAR, Ultra Liquors, Makro Liquor and independents such as Johnny's.
3. Check the validity dates; these end on 1 or 8 November.
4. Check for member-only prices at the tills.
5. Buy only what you will use responsibly.

"Superstore Liquor": what we found

We found no bottle store called Superstore Liquor in South Africa. The only result was a Canadian flyer tied to the Ontario Superstore chain, which is not relevant here. A Soweto retailer called Supa Store appears on My Catalogue, listed as a grocery and liquor shop at 2122 Luvhuvu Street, Dlamini, Soweto, with catalogues from 15 October to 8 November 2026, but we do not know whether that is the store you meant, and the page did not say who owns it. If you mean a specific local store, search with its full name and address.
